Instrument Rating

The addition of an instrument rating to your private pilot certificate allows you to fly in a wider range of weather condition than you can as a VFR pilot. When operating under instrument flight rules, you can fly in the clouds with no reference to the ground or horizon. No longer are you grounded by low lying clouds or fog. Make the flight on time and get the most out of your pilot certificate!

The Instrument Rating requires 50 hours of cross-country flight experience and 40 hours of actual or simulated instrument experience.  In addition to traditional instrument training options, LE Aviation is proud to offer our full-motion Redbird Advanced Training Device.
